Pat Barry fought Joey Beltran at the UFC Fight for the Troops 2 in a bout that started slowly but turned into a slugfest -- if not a very technically sound fight -- in the end. When 15 minutes of brawling was over, Barry had won a unanimous decision. Barry, who tearfully dedicated the fight to his late father afterward, won 30-27 on one judge's scorecard and 29-28 on the other two judges' cards. His record improves to 6-2, while Beltran falls to 12-5.
Flipping through the session listings for Google IO 2011, and a couple of things stand out: First, there's building web apps and Android apps for Google TV. Google TV, as you'll recall, was announced at least year's developer's conference. It's based on Android, but third-party apps aren't yet available, though they definitely were promised. So it looks like the ball's going to get rolling there.
Also on the agenda is a "Honeycomb highlights" session. It's no great surprise that we'll see more of the Android version that is first coming to tablets, supposedly in the first quarter of the year.
There's also the usual programming and developer tools' sessions, which, frankly, we don't understand in the slightest. But you devs certainly do, and you'll definitely want to check them out. [Google IO sessions]

Peugeot Sport director Olivier Quesnel has defended his decision to switch Stephane Sarrazin and Guy Wilks around in the Monte Carlo Rally results - handing the Englishman a podium finish. Sarrazin had beaten Wilks to third on the stages, but then checked in late for the final control to drop to fourth place. Wilks will contest the whole Intercontinental Rally Challenge, while Sarrazin's outing was a one-off for Peugeot, so the team preferred to give Wilks the extra points.
